I am Scott Owens, and I have lived in Yountville, CA, since 2014. I am running for a seat on the Napa Valley College Board of Trustees, District 6, to continue my commitment to serving our community through education.

My Commitment to Education

I believe in the transformative power of education. My journey began at City College of San Francisco, where I laid the foundation for my academic success. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from the University of San Francisco in 2017, where I was actively involved in Alpha Sigma Nu and Beta
Gamma Sigma honor societies. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA), with an expected graduation date of May 2026. This ongoing academic pursuit reflects my belief in lifelong learning and the power of education to open doors to opportunity.

My Experience in Community Service

For over 25 years, I have dedicated my career to the nonprofit community service sector, focusing on youth development, supportive housing, and health advocacy. Notably, I serve as lead support to the President of the California Health Care Foundation, where I contribute to advancing health equity and improving health care outcomes across the state. This experience has deepened my commitment to civic engagement, transparent decision-making, and fostering meaningful dialogue within our community.
